Tucked away in a quiet pocket on the bottom floor of a small inner-city apartment block with seven other units, Itinerant Richmond is that oft-imagined, rarely encountered, hyper-tasteful hole-in-the-wall minimalist re-imagining of a previously unloved space into something right out of the pages of Monocle or Wallpaper magazine.
The unit comes with an abundance of hidden storage and is equipped with luxe fittings, including a washer and dryer, split-unit system, fridge, microwave, television, Kitchenaid toaster, kettle and coffee plunger, Sonos sound system, a queen-sized Koala mattress fitted with quality sheets, and designer towels in the bathroom. Wi-fi is of course provided throughout the unit.
Itinerant Richmond is Japanese and Scandinavian minimalism meets Brooklyn cool, a perfect distillation of Melbourne and Richmond’s trendsetting multicultural zeitgeist.
For those driving, a private parking spot is available with your booking.
Richmond is 3 km east of central Melbourne and borders fellow inner-city suburbs South Yarra, Collingwood, Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Abbotsford.
The unit is a short stroll from a tram stop that will take you directly to and from central Melbourne. It is also a very short walk to the cheap eats of Victoria Street, the restaurants and cafes of Bridge Road, and shopping and cinema hub Victoria Gardens, where an Ikea lives.
For your convenience you will find a Myki tram card and a map of the local area when you check in. (Tram cards to be topped up at the end of your stay.)
